The mission of Ease the Way Transitional Doula Services is to encourage people to find peace and acceptance in the dying journey; to be open to discussing and making end of life plans.
My goal is to assist you through this transition in a peaceful manner that enables your wishes to be honored. It is only natural to have some level of anxiety about death. My hope is to reduce this fear and anxiety that surrounds death and to help you and loved ones find the serenity, beauty, and ease of mind that can be found in those months, weeks, days and moments of your final journey. You do not have to have a life limiting diagnosis for us to be of service to you. I offer consultations for people uncertain of what to expect when caring for someone near the end of life. Let me help answer your questions and concerns and guide you with resources. I also provide resources and peace of mind with Advanced Care Planning and preparation to people who want to plan ahead for those big decisions.

Companionship
As an End-of-life doula I provide a variety of services that include companionship. Whether you need someone to accompany you to the grocery store, go for a walk, read to you, or simply sit by your side in silence, we are here to help.
Being surrounded by family can sometimes take an emotional toll on you. Their anticipatory grief can be overwhelming when you are trying to stay peaceful and calm for your final journey. If you need time alone with your thoughts and feelings but still want someone present, I can be there for you in silence.
There may be times when your family members need rest but don’t want to leave you alone. If you are bedridden or require ongoing care, having someone present around the clock can provide comfort for both you and your family. We can help fill those gaps when a family member or friend is unavailable.

Guidance
Conversations about death require patience, insight, courage and time. In my doula practice, I can help prepare you with advanced care planning whether you are facing a life-limiting illness, aging, or planning for the future. Advance care plans and directives allow you to guide your medical care when you cannot speak for yourself.
I can help you document your physical, emotional and spiritual care wishes as well. Having these wishes clearly stated and documented on how you want to live and how you want to die provides you and your loved ones peace of mind, giving you the chance to focus on LIVING in the moments.
